Joel is starting his fifth year of primary school at Mother Angioletta, with only two more years to go after this before moving onto secondary school. He hopes to be an engineer when he grows up, but now most of his attention goes to playing soccer! Joel lives with his mother and father in the Gulu district of Northern Uganda. He was previously sponsored, but unfortanately his sponsors left the program.

This precious little girl lives with her older sister and brother along with their mother in the Gulu district of Uganda. Rita has just started her education. She is in the first of three years of "kindergarten". After these three years, she will move on to primary school. Rita has just begun to learn English and she can already say a few words. She says it is her favorite class. Rita loves her teachers, and when she grows up she wants to follow in their footsteps and become a teacher herself.
